Calm visiting hours, controlled wards
Link each visitor to a patient without touching clinical records, enforce ward visiting hours and visitor limits, and keep medical reps and contractors on appointment.

Sound familiar?
What we hear at the front desk.
Too many visitors at one bedside
Restricted wards with no record of who went in
Medical reps turning up without appointments
Agoo for hospitals & clinics
Set up for the way you work.
Hospital groups
A group of hospitals and clinics shares one watchlist and one set of rules, with combined numbers for the group and each facility in control of its own records.
Families’ feedback, followed up
Visitors are asked once how their visit went, and a low score reaches the ward’s admin to call back, without touching clinical records.
A free year for public clinics
Public clinics, health centres and CHPS compounds can apply through Agoo for Good for the Community plan, free for a year and renewed while they still qualify, or have a sponsor pay for it.
Public reviews that respect patients
Your facility’s page on Agoo Reviews opens only after a moderator confirms it and you’ve had 14 days’ notice. Staff are described by role, never by name, claims of negligence go to a person first, and replies may never confirm that someone was a patient. Clinics whose name reveals a condition, such as mental-health or HIV services, are listed only if they ask, and never send review invitations.
Patient-linked visits
Visitors are tied to a ward and bed, with a limit per patient. Clinical data never enters Agoo.
Visiting hours enforced
Ward schedules apply automatically at the kiosk and gate. Badges expire when visiting time ends.
Restricted wards
ICU, maternity and isolation wards need staff approval, and every entry is logged.
For a department, or for the doctor
A supplier comes for Pharmacy or Procurement and the team is told; whoever is free takes the visit. Someone asking for a consultant without an appointment goes to their secretary or reception first, who asks the doctor or books them in for another day.
Ward rules and NDAs before the visit
Visitors accept your ward rules on their pass before they arrive, and locums, reps and contractors sign NDAs online with a typed name and a drawn signature, keeping a PDF copy, on Pro and Enterprise.
Check in at the entrance, on their phone
Families scan the check-in poster at the main entrance and check in on their own phone, so the desk queue keeps moving. Your approval rules and watchlist still apply.
The front-desk computer as a kiosk
The computer already at the front desk checks visitors in from its browser, with nothing to install, where the connection is steady. Your approval rules and watchlist apply as they do on a tablet.
Guest Wi-Fi for families, not the clinical network
Families get the guest Wi-Fi once they’re checked in, from the kiosk or their pass, while nurses and staff join their own network in the Workspace app. A staff network never reaches a visitor.
Reps by appointment
Pharmacy and procurement publish booking pages so reps arrive when they are expected.
Doctors’ diaries without patients’ names
From Starter, doctors connect their Google or Outlook calendar, so booking pages never offer a time they’re in clinic or a meeting. Set calendar events to times only and every booking Agoo adds says just “Agoo booking”, with no name of the person booked, and their private calendar link says the same.
Parcels for wards and departments
Supplies, documents and food for a ward, the pharmacy or a doctor are logged at the gate or reception, and the person or the department’s team is told at once with a code to collect them. Nothing waits unnoticed on a counter.
Staff time across wards
Nurses and support staff clock in at the staff entrance and ask for leave on their phone, seeing their shifts on those days; each ward manager approves their own team’s leave, then HR if you choose, with a deputy while they’re on nights or away. Sick and maternity leave show to ward managers only as Away, certificates stay private to the person and HR, and Ghana’s public holidays are kept current for you.
Rotating ward rosters
Plan each ward’s days and nights by drag and drop, or set a rotation such as 2 days, 2 nights and 4 off once and let it fill the roster weeks ahead. Nurses see their shifts in the Workspace app, are told once when the roster changes, and are counted late or absent against it. A gap on nights goes up as an open shift that the nurses who work that ward can claim, nurses swap shifts with the ward manager’s approval, and Agoo warns before anyone is rostered with under 12 hours’ rest or without 48 hours off in seven days.
Overtime on 12-hour shifts
Give ward nurses their own work-rule set, 12-hour shifts with the week averaged over four weeks as the Labour Act allows, while the offices keep 8-hour days. A night that runs over waits for the ward manager to approve on their phone, public-holiday and rest-day cover is counted apart, and night time is counted for your allowance. At the month’s end each ward manager approves their nurses’ timesheets, with every night on the evening it started, and on Pro HR sends payroll one file with each hour under your own pay codes, the night allowance included.
Staff records and job history
Each nurse’s and doctor’s record holds their next of kin, their Ghana Card and SSNIT numbers kept encrypted, and their ward, grade and manager. A matron proposes a move to another ward or a new grade, HR approves it, and it applies on its date, with every earlier post kept. Nursing and Midwifery Council and Medical and Dental Council licences sit in each person’s documents, encrypted, and the nurse, their matron and HR are reminded before one lapses; medical certificates are seen only by the person and HR.
QR codes, with no ads or watermark
Put visiting rules as a PDF, feedback posters and the pharmacy’s WhatsApp line on QR codes at ward doors and in waiting areas.
Forms for everything else, with Agoo Forms
Patient registration and feedback forms with sensitive answers sealed as they arrive, revealed only by the staff you allow, and kept only as long as your policy says.
On Agoo Reviews
Patients and families read what others say about each of your facilities on agoo.reviews, under rules made for health care, and find the clinic near them; a moderator checks each branch against the facility register. No facility can pay to change its score or hide a review.
